This page describes how to install Utterly Voice.
If you have already installed Utterly Voice, and you're upgrading to a new version, see Version Upgrade.
Go to the Download page and download the application zip file.
Unzip the file to any location on your computer or any removable drive. The location must provide you with file write permissions. Utterly Voice is a portable application, and it doesn't make any changes to your system settings. All of the settings and data required by the application are included in the application's directory.
If you want to uninstall the application, just delete the application directory.
Double click the application executable file in the unzipped folder:
utterlyvoice
(or utterlyvoice.exe
if your Windows settings show file extensions).
If Windows S mode prevents you from running the application, switch out of Windows S mode. When S mode is active, applications that are not available in the Microsoft Store (like Google Chrome and Utterly Voice) are not allowed to run.
The first time you run the application, Windows may show a warning about running an unknown application. This happens because the application is not published yet. Select the options that let you run the application. For example, on Windows 10 and 11, click more info then run anyway.
The application should open a window at the top of your screen, and it should behave similar to the taskbar. If you have not provided a license key yet, the setup window also opens automatically. See the Setup page for details.
